Daring Murano Vase by Dino Martens

$1,500

Dino Martens (1894–1970)

Large, lively Murano vase in striped blown glass by Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, a distinctive “fazzoletto” (handkerchief) design with playful fluttering peaks. With delicate filigrana ribbons in light pink, opaque white, and clear glass united in a bold, flowing asymmetry, this imaginative piece is an excellent example of Martens’ mastery of difficult-to-execute forms.

Can also be used as a bowl or sculptural centerpiece.
