Rare Atomic Age Boomerang Desk and Gemini Leather Armchair, France 1970s

France, 1970’s

A phenomenal Space Age boomerang desk with a white swiveling Formica top cantilevered over a steel column with a spring-loaded compartmentalized drawer and original red shag-carpeted cast iron base. Accompanied by its black leather upholstered adjustable Gemini armchair on rocking base. This is a low desk, incredibly comfortable to use with a laptop or keyboard. With its elegantly abstracted organic forms, this set is a stunning and unique example of jet age furniture design, reminiscent of Eero Saarinen’s TWA terminal.
