From 1stDibs (sold) This rare “2006-S” sofa by Adrian Pearsall (1925-2011) for Craft Associates features a frame that extends past the upholstery effectively becoming two flanking end tables. Inset into the frame, the angular, yet comfortable seat accommodates three people and has been newly reupholstered in woven, naturally toned fabric. Delineating Pearsall’s daring shape further is the surrounding piping in the same material which expertly marries the seat with the frame. The mid-century modern sofa’s walnut frame has been refinished with a black stain and white cerused finish which gives the piece an updated, modern look. The sofa rests on tapered legs typical of the period.
