A geometric side table, nightstand, or small bookcase in reeded mahogany by Gio Ponti. With two bookshelves, an asymmetrical stepped shape, and grooved carving of rich, variegated coloration, a distinct decorative feature Ponti first introduced in his pieces of the 1930s, here updated in an angular, modernist plissé. Raised on angled and tapered legs.
