Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte: Pair of Cut Crystal and Brass Sconces, Italy 1954

$18,500

Max Ingrand (1908 – 1969) for Fontana Arte

A striking pair of long rectangular sconces by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, in chiseled crystal and white glass on brass mounts. Three rows of exceptionally thick, luminous crystal slabs with wavy, deftly chiseled edges cascade outwards from a rectilinear central pane of white glass, edged in and supported by polished brass mounts. When lit, these imposing sconces seem to glow, the chiseled crystal radiating a magnetic warmth.
